astronomical works attributed to Prosdocimo
The following works were ascribed to Prosdocimo
from Favaro (Favaro, 1890), but the attribution was based on a dubious tradition (a note
in the copy of the printed edition of 1512 Instrumentum Astrolabii etiam Impressum est
Venetiis in officina Petri Lichtenstein Coloniensis Germani anno 1512 at the
Bibliotheca Jagellonica in Krakow). Other authors followed Favaro (TK, Beaujouan, Rosinska
1974, 1984, Markowski 1990, ...).
The editor of that edition, Federico Delfino, professor of astronomy in Padua in the first
half of XVI century, ascribed the text to Prosdocimo in his manuscript copy: Edinburgh
Cr.3.28: 'Prosdocimo de beldemandis patavi viri clarissimi compositio et operacio
Instrumenti dicti astrolabium 'revisa et' tradita Impressioni propter bonum comune a
domino federico delphino artium et medicine doctore et mathematicarum disciplinarum in
